Sankta Birgittas

Sankta Birgittas folkhögskola was founded in 1988 and was the first Roman Catholic folk high school in Sweden. It is situated in the heart of Stockholm.

Sankta Birgittas is a relatively small school with 50 – 60 full time students who come from a variety of religious, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

ASO

ASO Folk High School is situated in Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan. It was founded in 2010 as the result of years of planning between partners in Sweden and Kurdistan. ASO is the first folk high school to be established in the region.

The Swedish National Council of Adult Education

Folkbildningsrådet is supporting S:ta Birgittas in developing ways to use social media in education in order to increase digital participation and to discover new ways of communicating and learning.

The International Programme Office for Education and Training

Internationella programkontoret is funding S:ta Birgittas folkhögskola’s exchange project with ASO Folk High School. The aim is to increase cultural understanding, share knowledge, support each other and expand our international contact networks.
